RSSI offers optional student-led laboratory safety walk-throughs to inspect laboratory safety in research labs upon request. Volunteers are introduced to the lab safety walk-through checklist by RSSI outreach officers before conducting walk-throughs.

This is an excellent educational opportunity for both volunteers and researchers from groups being inspected to improve their awareness on laboratory safe practices. In addition, this optional safety walk-through can serve as a preparation for the annual ORS inspection.
